This week our Star of the Week is Connor Rolf. We are looking forward to learning all about him!

Have a great weekend!!
Don’t forget to ask to be a part of our private group on Facebook, Mrs. Marlock’s Class 2018-2019. You can see pictures from different parts of our learning, videos, and frequent updates and reminders from me! Because of privacy settings, you cannot see posts unless I approve you to join. If you want grandparents, other family members, etc. to be a part too, please just let me know their names so I can approve them as well! J
Also, make sure to find the Winfield Primary page too!! There is always information, pictures, and more, being posted! It is a great way to stay informed.
Our classroom has a Homework Club! Our Homework Club runs from Monday – Friday and starts over again every week. For students to be a part of our Homework Club, they have to bring their folder and math workbook to school every day. The correct pages and homework have to be finished in their math workbook also.
This week our Homework Club will earn the choice out of sitting wherever they would like on Friday, September !
CLASSROOM PARTY MONEY
We have three classroom parties in first grade: Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. We ask all student to provide $3 (a dollar a party) to help our room mother. If you have not sent in your student’s money or did not give it to me at Back to School Night, please send your child’s $3 in a marked envelope or bag. Thank you for already for helping us have three successful classroom parties!!
Your child is welcome to bring in treats and/or drinks to celebrate their birthday! If you choose to send in treats, please make sure you send enough for everyone in our class. We currently are at 21 kiddos. Please remember, no cookie cakes.
HEARD AROUND THE ROOM
My favorite thing about first grade is I got to meet Ezekiel and I get to have inside recess.
I have added another sleeve to our daily folder for Reading Logs. You can use that sleeve to hold onto the reading log you are working on or when you have a finished reading log, you can put it in that sleeve to turn in.
